Spectacular Slovakia was first published in 1996. It is the only guide to Slovakia created by native English speakers who live here. We tell you what's in halušky and why the Slovak Paradise national park is well named. We are eager to see more tourists go beyond Bratislava but secretly glad to have Slovakia's smaller cities, mining towns, villages, pubs, churches, mountains, forests, waterfalls and ski trails practically to ourselves.
